Lil Beaver Brewery, located on the South End of Bloomington IL at 16 Currency Drive, opened its doors to the public for the first time in January of this year. In less than a year, the brewery has gone from a moonlight project to a full time job for owner and head brewer Chad Bevers.
“It’s been an exciting first year, but we’re just getting started,” commented Bevers. “We’ve been fortunate to have a lot of local support since we opened, and the quality of our beer is driving demand in new markets. We get calls almost weekly from Chicago area shops interested in carrying our beer, but we’ve barely been able to keep up with Bloomington Normal demand, so we’re changing that by upgrading our equipment, and our image.”
Lil Beaver Brewery announced today the release of a new logo, all new merchandise, and the availability of 16oz cans in the marketplace, as well as expanded taproom hours and a new larger brew system which will allow them to brew four times as much beer in a single day.
“We’ve been known for making great stouts before we even opened, but now the word is getting out that we make amazing Hazy IPA’s too, and these types of beer sell best in 16oz cans,” said Bevers. “We found an amazing local designer who is also a big fan of our beer, and couldn’t be happier with the new logo and can designs she’s creating for us.”
There will be 4 different beers available in cans starting this Wednesday, November 21st when the brewery opens at noon for a special event called DrinksGiving, an opportunity for everyone to bring their out of town family and friends out to enjoy the newer BN Business, as well as the only opportunity to try the two beers Lil Beaver Brewery just entered into the Chicago Festival of Barrel Aged Beers known as FOBAB.
Initial cans will include two New England Style Hazy IPA’s, NeePuh and Line Leader, Puh Puh Puh Porter, and the brewery’s most popular beer, Lil Bit of Wonderful, a Milk Stout brewed with Chocolate and Toasted Coconut. In addition to the cans, new merchandise and gift cards will also be available for purchase.
The new taproom hours which go into effect starting in December, will be Tue-Thu 3-9pm, Friday 3-11pm, and Saturday Noon-11pm, and Sundays 1-6pm. Limited food options will also be offered starting in December including soft pretzels, pizzas, hot dogs and more.
