Sycamore Brewing Releases New Cinnamon Bun Latte Blonde

March 27, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

Sycamore BrewingCHARLOTTE, North Carolina – Sycamore Brewing, a family-owned brewery in Charlotte, N.C. that has grown to be one of the largest brewers in the Carolinas, announced the release of Cinnamon Bun Latte (6.2% APV), a new blonde ale with delicious hints of coffee and cinnamon in each sip. The blonde ale is now available for purchase at Sycamore Brewing’s taproom, select grocery stores and other specialty beverage stores across the state within the next few weeks.

“One of my favorite things about this beer is the fact that it was brewed with coffee beans that were roasted right here in Sycamore’s facility,” said brewery co-owner, Sarah Taylor Brigham. “Each sip tastes like the perfect balance of sweet and bitter – like a cinnamon bun dipped in espresso!”

Sycamore’s Cinnamon Bun Latte tastes of spicy cinnamon, warm vanilla, rich caramel, a dash of honey and dark chocolate/roast coffee. The base beer is English-inspired, with English ale yeast and lots of rich English specialty malts. The beer was conditioned on a combination of Saigon and Ceylon cinnamon for a week, then infused with house-roasted beans (Columbian) and Madagascar vanilla.

The beer is the first release in the Barista Series.

Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery Brings Back Brew 42

March 27, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

Grand Canyon BrewingWILLIAMS, Arizona – Brew 42 is an Irish Red Ale brewed to commemorate the life of fallen Goodyear Fire Department Engineer, Austin Peck, who unfortunately lost his battle to occupational nasal cancer in the fall of 2019. A beloved member of his community and good friend of team members at Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery, Austin’s family and friends joined the brew team to create a beer that perfectly captured the life, spirit, and energy of their fallen hero.

A portion of the sales of Brew 42 are donated to the Arizona Firefighters Emerald Society – established in 1987 as a charity organization of retired Celtic fire fighters that support local charities and offer mentorship programs for aspiring firefighters.

Austin’s favorite number was 42. He’s honored through the naming of this beer as Brew 42. The flavor profile was inspired by the long-standing relationship between the fire department and Irish Culture. The malt blend is the highlight of the brew, featuring an enjoyable toasty sweetness that is balanced by a hint of Heritage Hops. Malt: 2 Row, Crystal 60, Crystal 75 and Vienna. 5.6% ABV, 17 IBU.

Brew 42 was originally created in February 2020 and is now available on tap year-round at Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery and for limited release during the months of March – May at bars, restaurants, and at Safeway + Albertsons grocery stores in Arizona.

“Austin was a personal friend of mine and I really wanted to do something to help raise awareness about the occupational health issues that many firefighters experience during their years of service,” said Kevin Callaway, Brand Manager, Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery.

About Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery

Located in historic downtown Williams, Arizona at 301 North 7th Street, Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery is a family owned and operated craft brewery producing over a dozen craft brews each year. In 2017, Grand Canyon Brewing & Distillery began distilling craft spirits including vodka, rum, gin and whiskey. Most recently, they launched a line of canned vodka soda drinks.

In Williams, the smell of bubbling yeast and fresh hops fill the air as the brewing team works to create their award-winning beers. Brew tanks and stainless-steel fermenters fill the production room next to a cozy taproom with local beer, roaring fireplace, rustic décor and full-service kitchen. The Flagstaff brewpub is located just a few miles down the road and serves lunch, dinner and a side of heaping fun with a full-service bar, games and novelty merchandise.

Mother Earth Brewing Company Adds Additional NITRO Offering to Year-round Lineup

March 26, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

Mother Earth BrewingVista, CA & Nampa, ID – Mother Earth added its second core offering of the year this month (behind Heavy Cloud Hazy IPA) in a NITRO version of their signature dark ale – Milk Truck.

The brewery’s popular Latte Stout launched initially as a CO2 version last year but is getting a plus up with addition of a Nitrogen version in cans and on draft. Like the brewery’s beloved NITRO Cali Creamin’, Milk Truck is an additional 16oz option that stands next to its cream ale cousin with updated packaging to match.

“Milk Truck has been a really well received addition to our core lineup and fans have been begging for a NITRO version since the day it hit shelves so we are thrilled to be able to put something out there that is qualitative and that complements our other beers, but also further expands our NITRO lineup.”

-Kamron Khannakhjavani – Director of Marketing, Mother Earth Brew Co.

As to be expected from any good NITRO brew, Milk Truck is exceptionally smooth & creamy and will remind you of your favorite coffee house sipper, but with an adult beverage kick. Vanilla, coffee, lactose, and oats all meld together with Nitrogen’s characteristic tiny bubbles to form a beer that is balanced AND fun to drink, thanks to Mother Earth’s widget-free packaging that requires a little shake to activate the Nitrogen.

About Mother Earth

Mother Earth Brew Co. develops hand crafted artisanal ales in year-round, as well as seasonal and specialty offerings. With multi-state as well as international distribution serviced by breweries in Vista, CA and Nampa, ID; Mother Earth’s award-winning beers help define and maintain the standard of excellence expected of independent craft brewers.

Lone Tree Brewing Cans Traditional Hefeweizen For Spring

March 26, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

Lone Tree Brewing LONE TREE, Colorado – Cans of Lone Tree Brewing Company’s new spring seasonal Hefeweizen are now available across Colorado and Kansas.

Lone Tree’s Head Brewer Dennis O’Harrow first introduced this recipe in the tasting room in 2020, and brought it back on tap last year to meet its popular demand. This true-to-style, unfiltered wheat ale pays homage to his days traveling in Munich— to that first Hefeweizen he had when he got off the plane.

Lone Tree Hefeweizen is brewed with Noble hops and wheat that impart hints of fruit and spice, and fermented with Weihenstephan yeast that adds traditional clove and banana notes. It hits the mark as a bright, easy drinking ale with 5.4 percent ABV– all of the essentials for the turn of the season into spring.

Find Hefeweizen on tap at Lone Tree and in canned 6-packs while supplies last.

ABOUT LONE TREE BREWING CO.

Lone Tree Brewing Company was the first brewery to open in Lone Tree, Colorado in Denver’s South Metro area in 2011, and has remained a local staple for a decade. The double IPA bursting with fresh ruby red grapefruit flavor and aroma will be available for a limited time at retailers across Lawson’s Finest Liquids nine-state distribution area (VT, CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA and RI) beginning this week.

Double Sunshine with Ruby Red Grapefruit was first dreamed up during a trip to Florida where company owners, Sean and Karen Lawson, fell in love with the refreshing, citrus-infused flavors of several IPAs they sipped along the way. Since the trip, they’ve never looked back and brewed this iconic version of Double Sunshine every year. Hop Valley Expands 19.2 oz. Cans Nationwide

March 22, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

Hop ValleyEUGENE, Oregon – Hop Valley Brewing this spring is expanding nationwide two of its award-winning IPAs into 19.2-ounce cans, a single-serve format that’s proving popular with a growing number of drinkers. The Eugene, Ore.-based craft brewer, which in 2021 expanded its flagship Bubble Stash IPA across North America and its Stash Pack IPA variety 12-packs nationwide in the U.S., is seeking to court new drinkers in convenience and grocery stores -as well as at fairs, festivals and events. Hop Valley will lead the push into 19.2s, or “stovepipes,” with Cryo Stash, the brewery’s 8.7% alcohol-by-volume Imperial IPA and Bubble Stash, its top-selling IPA. It also will release Stash Panda Hazy IPA in select markets.

“The opportunity with 19.2s is huge. It’s a trial-driving package, it works well in convenience stores, it works well in venue,” says Brandon Ross, chain manager for Hop Valley.

The expansion of stovepipes nationwide dovetails with a pair of craft trends: IPA continues to be craft’s most popular style, growing even at a time when the segment is shrinking. And sales of 19.2-ounce cans have more than doubled over the last three years to $177 million, according to IRI data. That’s up from about $66 million in 2018. The 19.2 format was the second-largest growth package in the U.S. last year behind 12-packs of hard seltzer, data show. Beyond the obvious sales opportunity, Hop Valley also sees the move as an ideal way to introduce more consumers to the brand without asking them to commit to a six- or 12-pack.

“Consumers may have never heard of Hop Valley, and they may be a little hesitant to pick up a 12-pack for $18.99. But with the 19.2 selling for less than $3, it definitely makes it easy for consumers to try,” Ross says.

It’s a playbook Ross says is already working: “In markets where we had 19.2s on the shelf, we saw an immediate lift in our multi-pack sales.”

Ross says the 19.2-ounce cans are also attractive to on-premise establishments, which might be “a little shy about bringing new or untested brands.”

“This is a package that they can try at a lower entry point that still provides something new for their consumers in a fun package that stands out on the table,” he says.

Bubble Stash, Molson Coors’ first national IPA, launched across North America in early 2021. As it enters its second year of broad distribution, the brand is aiming to get in front of more consumers, especially as they come back to venues and the on-premise as pandemic-related restrictions ease. With an increased advertising budget for 2022, Hop Valley plans to continue educating legal-age drinkers about its key differentiator, Cryo Hops®, frozen hop dust that imparts a smooth finish without taking away from the aromaticsIPAs are known for.

“It just hits different,” Ross says of Hop Valley’s IPAs. “This isn’t just another IPA. It’s something consumers have never experienced before.”

New Realm Brewing Introduces Mango Tyrannosaurus Flex Double IPA

March 22, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

New Realm BrewingATLANTA, GA – The King has returned, and he came to party! New Realm Brewing is set to re-release the award-winning Tyrannosaurus Flex Hazy Double IPA, with a new twist. Pure mango juice has been added to this fan-favorite hazy DIPA to crank it up to a whole new level. New Zealand hops Montueka, Rakau, and Motuere give Tyrannosaurus Flex a cretaceous amount of citrus and tropical fruit notes, with a hint of dankness. Now, with pure mango juice added to the mix, this hazy beast is the ruler of its realm.

Tyrannosaurus Flex was first introduced in 2018 with New Realm’s Monsters & Myths Double IPA Series. The company introduced this imaginative and illustrative series to captivate hop-loving beer fans. The Monsters & Myths Double IPA Series aims to bring fans along for a journey into extraordinary new realms while paying homage to some of the world’s most famous (and infamous) mythical legends.

“As if Tyrannosaurus Flex wasn’t juicy enough, we added pure mango juice during fermentation to take this fan-favorite DIPA to a whole new level,” said Mitch Steele, Co-Founder and Brewmaster of New Realm Brewing. “A Mango DIPA was in our brewing plans for this year, but after experimenting with some recipes, we realized that the tropical fruit notes from our New Zealand hops perfectly complemented the mango. Tyrannosaurus Flex exclusively uses New Zealand hops, so we brewed a batch, added the pure mango juice, and after one sip, we knew we had done something amazing.”

“It’s safe to say that Tyrannosaurus Flex has become the ‘king’ of our Monsters & Myths series” said Bob Powers, Co-Founder and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of New Realm Brewing. “It’s a fan-favorite for its juicy, tropical flavor, and won the Best 16oz Can Design in the Craft Beer Marketing Awards. Our brewing team put a mango twist on T-Flex this year, and we’re excited to see the fan reaction to this Special Release.”

Mango Tyrannosaurus Flex DIPA will be available March 22, 2022 on draft and in 16oz 4 pack cans in New Realm’s brewery to-go coolers, as well as your favorite retailers around Georgia, Virginia, and parts of South Carolina.
