Fretboard Brewing Company is celebrating a 1-year anniversary on the weekend of November 2nd – 4thin their taproom located at 5800 Creek Road in Blue Ash. In partnership with several community organizations, Fretboard is hosting JAM SESSION 18 and will dedicate each day to a different cause.
On Friday November 2nd, The Cincy Blues Society will co-host the evening and celebrate local blues with Ben Levin starting on stage at 6pm. Fresh off his European tour, local guitar ace Dudley Taft will headline the event from 8 to 11pm. The night will showcase the best of local blues and honor Fretboard’s commitment to brining quality talent and entertainment through its first year of operations and beyond.
Saturday events will kick off at 11am with a special beer release. Longtime iconic Cincinnati brand, Klosterman Baking Company has inspired Fretboard Brewing Company to craft a unique Klosterman Rye Bier in honor of their 1-year anniversary. This unique collaboration brings the malt characteristics of rye together with a subtle spicy flavor from the careful additions of caraway seed for a well-balanced copper colored lager. The Rye Lager will be available on draft and in six pack, 12-ounce cans starting at 11am.
Jim Klosterman, Lead Guitar of Fretboard and Vice President of Operations explains, “We’re excited to partner with Klosterman Baking Company on this collaboration. The bakery is celebrating its 125-year anniversary, and this is a tribute to our city’s bread and beer makers who embody Cincinnati’s German heritage and the land throughout our region that grew these malts and grains. Our Rye Lager will honor two Cincinnati staples: beer and bread.”
