Gigantic Brewing Releases Fluffy Tufts Juicy IPA, The Deep, Fantastic Voyage and Massive 2018

Being released for the first time from Gigantic is Fluffy Tufts Juicy IPA and The Deep – Imperial Oatmeal Stout. Returning are two additional beers Fantastic Voyage – Oak Aged Brett Saison in 500mL bottles for the first time and MASSIVE! – 2018 Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine.

Here are full details on each for the four beer being released this month from Gigantic Brewing.

 

Fluffy Tufts Juicy IPA:
Description: Brewed with vast amounts of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Crystal hops, Fluffy Tufts is dripping with all of the citrus and tropical juiciness that you love.
Tasting Notes: Huge fresh squeezed citrus: kumquat, pineapple, orange peel, lime, passion fruit.
History & Style: Citra and Mosaic have quickly become one of our favorite combinations for juicy hazy IPAs. Add in the pineapple notes of Simcoe and the tropical essence of Crystal and you have yourself one damn tasty IPA.

The Deep – Imperial Oatmeal Stout:
Description: Rising from the darkest depths of our creative well, this Imperial Oatmeal Stout will overpower you. Succumb to the rich, full flavors of chocolate, caramel and espresso as you enjoy your descent into The Deep.
Tasting Notes: Bittersweet chocolate, fresh espresso shots, raw vanilla, caramelized sugars, amaretto
History & Style: We wanted to create a decadent stout with all l the rich flavors we love. Ink black in color. Something expressive and intense, yet still very drinkable.

Fantastic Voyage – Oak Aged Brett Saison:
This is the first release of our Brett series in 500ml bottle conditioned bottles. There will be a new beer every 4-5 months.
Description:  This beautiful saison was fermented with a mixed culture of saison and brettanomyces yeasts, then aged in oak for an extended time. Naturally fermented in the bottle with an additional yeast for added complexity.
Tasting Notes: Plenty of tropical fruit with mango, pineapple, subtle funk and a bouquet of floral hops. Intensely drinkable with a refreshing tartness.
History & Style: This is a mixed fermentation brett saison from Gigantic. It took a long time for us to finish this project, but we’ve really enjoyed the journey and the finished beer, and hope you do as well.
Artist: Mike Davis is a modern surrealist painter. Possessing a multi-faceted set of interests, Davis began painting in 1997, and attributes much of his inspiration to watching his mother pursue craft projects during his childhood, and immersing himself in art history throughout his career. From helping his mother with activities ranging from woodworking, hand-tooling leather, and remodeling the family’s home, to engaging with ancient art and Netherlandish painting from the Northern Renaissance, Davis is a self-taught painter, who continues to render l complex paintings of surrealist life, embedded with symbols of mortality, folly, and hubris, fixated within whimsical compositions.

MASSIVE! – 2018 Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine:
Description: In making MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged we used only British Golden Promise malt and boiled for eight hours, giving the beer a deep ruby color and rich malt flavor. We then aged MASSIVE! in bourbon barrels for almost 2 years. Enjoy the richness and intensity now, or after years and year and years more of aging.
Tasting Notes: Richness abounds with aromas and flavors of caramel, coconut, maple, dark fruits, citrus, rose, toffee and bourbon.
History & Style: This years MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged slumbered in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels for almost 2 years. We used only British Golden Promise malt, which has a rich heritage and even richer flavor.
Artist: AJ Fosik was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. In 2003, he received a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design in New York City. He is currently based in Portland, Oregon. Fosik’s work has been exhibited in galleries around the world including New York, Tokyo, Philadelphia, Miami and San Francisco.
