Left Hand Brewing to Release Chai Milk Stout Nitro, a New IPA and 2 Seasonal Offerings

February 8, 2018 by Dow Scoggins

LONGMONT, Colo. — The start of the year means new ingredients, new hops, and of course new beers. The beginning of the 2018 beer lineup includes the newest beer in Left Hand’s nitro can series, the much-anticipated Chai Milk Stout Nitro, plus the new Left Hand IPA, and two favorite returning seasonal beers.

Chai Milk Stout Nitro
A custom blend of cloves, ginger and intensely flavored spices are smoothed out by the sweetness of our infamous Milk Stout and nitrogen cascade … right from the can. This beer was first brewed for our annual Nitro Fest event this past November. It was such a favorite, we decided to share it with all of our nitro-loving beer fans as the newest beer in our nitro can series. The chai spice mixture is brewed in-house and gives the whole brewery an intoxicating aroma on brew day.
5.0% ABV, 22 IBU Limited Release: Q1

Well Played
Left Hand’s red IPA returns with a new experimental hop. Experimental hops are small plots of hops that are sent out to select breweries. A group of our brewers together selected our 2018 hop. The hop chosen is BRU-1 by Haas from Yakima, WA.
6.8% ABV, 70 IBU Seasonal Release: FEB – APR

Saison au Miel
Les Quatres Saisons, Left Hand’s quarterly Saison series returns with Saison au Miel. Brewed with native Colorado ingredients, each beer in the collection will highlight a unique addition. Saison au Miel features wildflower honey to bring a touch of sweetness to soften the dry and crisp farmhouse-style ale. The Colorado wildflower honey sourced from 5th generation Johnson Family Farm in Northern Colorado.
6.8% ABV, 10 IBU Seasonal Release: FEB – APR

Left Hand IPA
The newest year round beer is pale orange, with a light maltiness. It is brewed with Azacca, Galaxy, and Citra hops. Galaxy is Director of Brewing, Matt “Truck” Thrall’s favorite hop and the combination of hops provides flavors and aromas of orange, passionfruit, peach and lemon.
6.6% ABV, 70 IBU Available: year round
