Craft Brewery of the Day: Little Machine Beer in Denver, Colorado by Morgan Forsyth
Little Machine Beer was founded in October of 2015 by industry veterans that had a mission to open a neighborhood brewery in the Denver. The owners and co-founders all had previous experience working in larger production breweries, and they wanted to branch out and start their own brewery that was based on their personal passion for making great beer versus the larger professional scale. And it seems as though they found the perfect spot to start their brewing adventure – located in the Jefferson Park neighborhood right next to Mile High Stadium. And they are energized to have a brewery that has a functional role in the neighborhood!
The head brewer uses their Colorado-made 10 barrel system to brew classic styles, rotating seasonal beers and special projects. One of which is their award winning Razz Against the Machine, a Tart Raspberry Ale that won a silver medal at the World Beer Cup in 2016 and a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2017. A few of their other popular mainstays include the Sir Veza Mexican-Style Lager and the Yafi IPA. With their variety of classic styles and fun seasonal offerings, there’s always something on tap for everyone!
So far, this year’s biggest milestone for Little Machine Beer was adding a new patio that charmingly looks over the city of Denver. It’s the perfect spot to grab a beer with friends or have a beer (or two!) with coworkers after work. Plus, it will be the highlight of their next big event, which is their annual Fourth of July parking lot party. Rumor has it that you can see at least five different fireworks shows from their location – so be sure to get their early to grab a good seat. Cheers!
