Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub Announces 2018 Beer Release Calendar

February 26, 2018 by Dow Scoggins

IDAHO SPRINGS, Colorado — Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub is excited to introduce new beers to their year round lineup as well as a New England style pale ale that will kick off the brewery’s first seasonal release. This month Drift Blonde Ale, Palisade Peachwood Cream Ale and TK IPA will join the ranks of Maple Nut Brown Ale, Blood Orange IPA, Pick Axe Pale Ale, Green Chile Lager, Imperial Nut Brown, and Alpine Glacier Pilsner Lager as year-round beers available from Tommyknocker. Placer Pale Ale will be a limited release that is available through April.

“Most versions of the New England style trend are IPAs but ours is a pale ale,” said Steve Indrehus, president of Tommyknocker. “We wanted to create a standard daily drinker that is as smooth and balanced as can be.”

Placer Pale Ale balances a light, crisp, malt character with an abundance of hop-derived aromatics and flavors from the hops. The fragrant nose is fresh citrus, tropical fruit, and peach. Bold flavors mix with dank notes of zesty citrus and fresh pine. ABV: 6.8% | IBU: 82

For the beer drinker who has a palate for lighter styles, Drift Blonde is a clean and refreshing beer with just enough hop character to produce a bit of a bite. This golden blonde beauty is dry hopped with citra hops to create mild flavors of citrus. ABV: 4.7% | IBU: 6

Another easy-drinking beer coming to market is Palisade Peachwood Cream Ale, a beer that uses wood staves from peach trees in Palisade to create an easy-drinking crowd pleaser with notes of peach in both the aroma and mouthfeel. ABV: 4.5% | IBU: 22

For standard IPA purists, Tommyknocker will release TK IPA, a beer that utilizes Chinook, Crystal, Summit, Nugget, Bravo, and Willamette hops. These six varieties hits all of the right notes offering an alternative to year round favorite Blood Orange IPA. ABV: 7.3% | IBU: 82

“We wanted to create a bold IPA for the straight forward IPA fan,” said Indrehus.

All of Tommyknocker’s new beers are available in 6-pack cans and on draft at the brewery, as well as within Tommyknocker’s distribution footprint.
About Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub
Located in downtown Idaho Springs, Colorado, Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub has been an integral part of the mountain town community since 1994. These elves guided many a fortunate miner to the “Motherlode”. Tommyknocker prides itself on being a local brand. For more information visit Tommyknocker.com.
