The Oldest Bars and Taverns in the United States
The United States was founded on beer. From the time the Pilgrims ran out of beer and were forced to land at Plymouth Rock to the days were Paul Revere, Patrick Henry, Samuel Adams and other patriots would discuss plans to break away from England in the local taverns. Today, over 20 bars and taverns have survived from the 1700’s and even one tavern that dates back to 1673. Here is a list of the 25 oldest bars and taverns in the USA.
