TailGate Brewery Releases Wizard’s Order IPA ‘Abracadabra!’

March 11, 2026 by Dustin Scoggins

THE 10 CLOSEST Hotels to TailGate Brewery, Nashville

TailGate Brewery, Tennessee’s independent craft brewery and pizzeria, has launched Wizard’s Order IPA (6% ABV) as a new year-round core offering, bringing tropical hop magic to fans across the state.

This spellbinding IPA is crafted with Krush and Citra hops, barley and wheat malt, delivering bold aromas and flavors of mango nectar, passionfruit, and fresh orange zest. It pours medium-bodied with subtle notes of bread and caramel for balance, paired with a pleasant bitterness that elevates the juicy tropical fruit profile—perfect for hop lovers seeking broad appeal without overwhelming intensity.

After more than a year (and in some reports, up to 2.5 years) of dedicated research and development—including tweaks, consumer feedback, and recipe refinement—Wizard’s Order IPA graduates from its previous rotating series status to become a permanent fixture in TailGate’s lineup, joining award-winning flagship TailGate Orange Wheat, Lager Projekt, and TailGate Cider.

“Through this type of R&D process, we’re able to get creative while collecting feedback, perfecting the beer, and ultimately delivering the best of the best,” said Wesley Keegan, sole owner and original founder of TailGate Brewery.

Find Wizard’s Order IPA now in draft and 6-packs of 12oz cans at:

All TailGate Brewery taproom locations across Tennessee (including Headquarters in West Nashville, Music Row, East Nashville, Germantown, South Nashville, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro, Chattanooga, and the Nashville International Airport outpost)
Retailers, restaurants, and craft beer spots statewide via Lipman Brothers Distributing

Pair it with TailGate’s scratch-made pizza for the ultimate experience—try it alongside their Spicy Vodka Pizza (vodka sauce base, mozzarella, pepperoni, ricotta dollops, and hot honey drizzle). The refreshing, hoppy notes cut through the robust spice perfectly.

TailGate brews over 300 unique recipes annually and releases small-batch beers weekly (available taproom-only), keeping things fresh for visitors.

About TailGate Brewery
TailGate Brewery, founded in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2014 by Wesley Keegan, has grown from a humble one-man operation into one of the state’s largest independent craft breweries. Keegan, originally brewing in San Diego, relocated to Music City with a vision to become Tennessee’s top craft beer producer, starting with a small 3-barrel system and no outside investors. Over the years, the brewery expanded to a 50-barrel system, opening nine locations across the region and employing over 250 team members. Known for its innovative “beer first” philosophy, TailGate emphasizes high-quality, experimental flavors while ensuring the core beer profile shines through, sourcing ingredients locally and collaborating with Nashville farmers to minimize waste.

Under Keegan’s ownership, TailGate Brewery offers a diverse lineup of over 30 house-brewed beers on tap at each taproom, including year-round favorites like the zesty TailGate Orange Wheat Ale (5% ABV), the crisp Lager Projekt Helles (4.8% ABV), and the tropical Wizards’ Order IPA (6% ABV). Popular specialties include the cult-favorite Peanut Butter Milk Stout (5.8% ABV), Howdy Cloudy Hazy Session IPA, and seasonal releases like Honey Nut Blonde or Apple Lager, alongside ciders and seltzers. With a constantly rotating draft list, TailGate pairs its brews with scratch-made pizzas, making it a go-to spot for beer enthusiasts seeking bold, approachable flavors in a vibrant atmosphere.
