“Fifteen years is a number that’s hard for us to wrap our heads around,” said Lena Perelman, Co-Owner of Beachwood Brewing. “We simply wanted to create a place where people could gather, share a great beer, and feel like they belonged. We’re incredibly grateful to still be doing what we love with all of you.”
Founded in 2011 by husband-and-wife team Gabe and Lena Perelman, Beachwood remains a family-owned business that has grown from a small Seal Beach restaurant into five thriving locations featuring breweries, taprooms, a distillery, and a sourdough pizzeria.

About Beachwood Brewing

Beachwood Brewing was founded in 2011 in Long Beach, California, by husband-and-wife team Gabe Gordon and Lena Perelman, in partnership with brewmaster Julian Shrago. The concept grew out of their earlier Beachwood BBQ restaurant in Seal Beach (opened 2006), where they combined great food with quality craft beer. What started as a single brewpub has evolved into a respected independent brewery known for hop-forward West Coast styles, barrel-aged sours, and a commitment to quality and innovation. Beachwood has earned a strong reputation in the Southern California craft beer scene for balancing drinkability with bold experimentation.

Today, Beachwood operates multiple locations across Southern California, including breweries, taprooms, a distillery producing house spirits, and a sourdough pizzeria in Huntington Beach. The family-owned business emphasizes community, good vibes, and great beer, with a full-scale production facility supporting distribution and a variety of tasting experiences. From anniversary celebrations to everyday gatherings, Beachwood continues to create welcoming spaces where people come together over craft beer, food, and shared good times
