Warped Wing is dropping the 2025 Whiskey Rebellion this Saturday (Dec 6) at the Dayton taproom, and it’s stupidly good.
We’re talking the classic barrel-aged imperial stout that everyone loses their mind over, plus a fresh lineup of flavored variants that are straight-up dessert in a bottle:
- German Chocolate Cake
- Iced Gingerbread Cookie
- and a couple more surprise bangers
Bottle Release Party Details – Saturday, Dec 6 @ Dayton Taproom
- First crack at every single variant in bottles
- Draft pours of all the new 2025 Whiskey Rebellion beers flowing all day
- If you want the flavored ones, you basically have to show up Saturday in Dayton; these things disappear faster than free beer
Nick Bowman (the guy who runs sales & marketing and basically lives at the brewery) said it best: “This is the most ridiculous Whiskey Rebellion lineup we’ve ever done. Dayton gets it first because that’s where Warped Wing started; come through and grab yours before they’re gone.”
The leftovers (if any) will hit Springboro, Mason, and Huber Heights the following weekend.

More Info on Warped Wing Brewing
Warped Wing Brewing Company was founded in 2013 by a tight-knit crew of Dayton lifers who were tired of drinking the same old macro lagers and wanted to bring legit craft beer back to the city that basically invented aviation. Nick Bowman, Joe Waizmann, John Haggerty, and Mike Sto Beyer pooled their money, their stubbornness, and a whole lot of homebrewing experience to open the doors at 26 Wyandot Street in downtown Dayton. What started as a 10-barrel brewhouse inside a 100-year-old former trucking depot has grown into one of Ohio’s most awarded independent breweries, with four taprooms (Dayton, Springboro, Mason, and Huber Heights) and distribution across Ohio and Kentucky—all while staying 100% locally owned and fiercely committed to never selling out.
At the heart of it all is Head Brewmaster and co-founder John Haggerty, a Dayton guy through and through who cut his teeth brewing in Colorado before coming home to build Warped Wing’s barrel-aging program into one of the most respected in the Midwest. Haggerty’s obsession with big stouts, wild ales, and pushing the limits of what beer can be has earned Warped Wing over 60 medals at U.S. Open, GABF, World Beer World Cup, and Festival of Wood & Barrel-Aged Beer—including multiple golds for the Whiskey Rebellion series. Twelve years in, the same owners are still in the brew house, still arguing over recipes, and still showing up to pour the first pints at every bottle release—because to them, Warped Wing isn’t just a business, it’s Dayton’s brewery.

Looking for the strongest beers in the world in 2025 this Holiday Season? These are the top 10 highest-ABV beers ever commercially produced — extreme brews that blur the line between beer and spirits. From Scottish freeze-concentrated monsters topping 67% ABV to legendary American barrel-aged giants, this list features the current world record holder (Brewmeister Snake Venom at 67.5%), cult classics like Samuel Adams Utopias, and rare eisbocks that sparked the famous “beer strength wars” between BrewDog and Schorschbräu. Perfect for beer geeks searching for the most alcoholic beer, highest ABV beer, or simply the strongest beer money can buy. Sip slowly — these are meant to be savored like fine whisky, not chugged!

Kick off with light, effervescent sippers to whet the appetite without filling up. These handle cheese boards, deviled eggs, or shrimp cocktail with zesty finesse.
Opt for gentle acidity and subtle fruit to mirror autumn’s harvest vibes, cleansing the palate for heavier courses.
(roast turkey, gravy, herb stuffing, candied yams, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce)
These sides demand beers with caramel depth or gentle tartness to match the sticky-sweet and puckery contrast.
(pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple crisp, etc.)
Wind down with bold, warming sippers—Ohio’s 2025 barrel-aged stouts deliver velvety depth for digesting and debating that Lions game.

Seattle’s pioneering craft brewery,

Craft beer enthusiasts, mark your calendars! For the first time in its legendary 30+ year history, Goose Island’s Bourbon County Brand Original Stout – the beer that pioneered the entire bourbon barrel-aged stout category – will hit shelves in sleek 10-ounce bottle 4-packs starting Black Friday, November 28, 2025.
Why This Matters for Beer Lovers in 2025
North Carolina’s craft beer scene shines every fall at the NC Brewers Cup, the state’s largest and most prestigious professional beer competition. Organized by the North Carolina Craft Brewers Guild since 2001, the Cup brings together hundreds of entries from breweries big and small to be blind-judged by BJCP-certified and professional judges using the latest Brewers Association style guidelines. Medals are awarded in dozens of categories (everything from classic lagers and IPAs to wild ales and barrel-aged stouts), plus a special “NC Home-Grown” category that celebrates beers made with at least 50 % North Carolina ingredients. Winners are announced each November at the NC Craft Brewers Conference in Winston-Salem, with the Brewery of the Year trophy going to the shop that racks up the most points across all categories. Over the years the competition has grown into a beloved celebration of Tar Heel brewing excellence, spotlighting both legendary names (Highland, NoDa, Fullsteam) and rising stars while giving beer lovers across the state a trusted guide to the very best local pints.
November 17(Newport, Oregon) – In the misty coastal town of Newport, Oregon, where the Pacific Ocean crashes against rugged cliffs and the scent of salt mingles with hops, a chapter of American craft beer history slammed shut last Friday. Rogue Ales & Spirits, the pioneering brewery that helped define the microbrew revolution, abruptly ceased all operations on November 14, 2025. What began as a scrappy venture in 1988 ended not with a final toast, but with locked doors, unpaid bills, and a stunned community left holding empty pint glasses.
