Dust Bowl Brewing Co. Launches Hop Water: A Refreshing Non-Alcoholic Hop Beverage

June 28, 2026 by Dow Scoggins

Dust Bowl Brewing Co.

Dust Bowl Brewing Co. is expanding its lineup with the release of Hop Water, the brewery’s first non-alcoholic beverage. Designed for wellness-focused drinkers, craft beer fans seeking alternatives, and anyone wanting a crisp, refreshing option, Hop Water brings vibrant citrus hop character with zero alcohol, zero sugar, zero gluten, and zero calories.

Made from all-natural hop extracts, this innovative drink stays true to Dust Bowl’s hop expertise while meeting the growing demand for high-quality non-alcoholic (NA) beverages. It’s perfect on its own as a healthy thirst-quencher or as a flavorful, low-calorie mixer in cocktails and mocktails.

Crafted by Brewers for Real Refreshment
The idea for Hop Water came directly from the brewery’s hop selection process in Washington state. Brewmaster Don Oliver and the team sampled various hop waters between tastings and found them incredibly refreshing.

“At last year’s hop selection in Washington, we were discussing hop water and trying some that were available,” said Don Oliver, Brewmaster at Dust Bowl Brewing Co. “The team and I drank a lot of hop water while going through selection. It was thirst-quenching and quite refreshing. A great sensory reset and recharge between hop samples. The fruit character of the hops is really captured in this drink.”

Where to Find Dust Bowl Hop Water

Hop Water is now available in convenient 12 oz. 6-pack cans. You can find it at Dust Bowl’s four California taproom locations or order directly online through the brewery’s website for convenient delivery.
This launch reflects Dust Bowl Brewing Co.’s ongoing commitment to innovation and offering more choices for its loyal fans while staying rooted in what they do best — exceptional hop-forward beverages.

About Dust Bowl Brewing

Dust Bowl Brewing Co. was founded in 2009 in Turlock, California, by Brett Tate and Brewmaster Don Oliver. The brewery’s name and spirit draw directly from the Tate family’s own history — in the 1930s, Brett’s ancestors left Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl era, loading up their Model A and heading west in search of a better life in California’s Central Valley. That pioneering resilience and family dedication inspired the brand. The first beer, Hops of Wrath IPA, was brewed on Mother’s Day 2009, right in the middle of the Great Recession. In 2010, Brett Honoré (along with his wife Camy) joined as business partners with Brett and Karen Tate, helping expand the operation.

Since its humble beginnings, Dust Bowl has grown into a respected regional brewery with a large production facility and taproom in Turlock (opened 2016), plus additional taprooms in Monterey (Tap Depot), Elk Grove (Old Town Tap House), and Livermore. Known for high-quality, hop-forward beers and a commitment to community, the brewery reached regional status in 2020 and has earned accolades including “Brewery of the Year” at the California State Fair. Today, Dust Bowl continues to honor its “Great Beer Born of Hard Times” motto while innovating with new releases like Hop Water and expanding its footprint across California and beyond.
