Lone Tree Brewing Brings Back Summer Hop Zombie for Summer Solstice: Limited Release Imperial Juicy IPA at 10% ABV

June 22, 2026 by Dow Scoggins

Lone Tree Brewing Co.

PARKER, CO — June 2026 — Lone Tree Brewing Company is resurrecting a fan-favorite twist on its cult-classic Hop Zombie with the return of Summer Hop Zombie (also known as Summer Solstice Imperial Juicy IPA). The high-octane summer seasonal launches on June 20, 2026 — perfectly timed for the summer solstice — and will be available for one day only at the brewery’s Parker location.

Bursting with bigger hops, intense tropical fruit aromas, and a potent 10% ABV bite, Summer Hop Zombie delivers hypnotic waves of passionfruit, mango, pineapple, and citrus backed by a juicy, resinous hop character. This limited Imperial Juicy IPA is designed for true hop lovers seeking bold summer vibes and big flavor.

Limited Release Details and Exclusive Merch

The beer will be available on draft and in 6-packs to-go at Lone Tree Brewing Parker — but supplies won’t last long. In true Zombie Day tradition, the brewery is also releasing a limited run of collectible Hop Zombie glassware featuring this year’s Point Break surf-themed artwork. The first ten people in line on June 20 will score a free glass.

“Surf’s up. Cans down. This one’s for the legends.”

The 14-Year Hop Zombie Legacy

Hop Zombie has been a cornerstone of Lone Tree Brewing’s lineup for over 14 years. The original is a bold Imperial Red IPA known for its deep red color, rich malt backbone, and massive hop presence (typically around 9% ABV and 90 IBUs). The Summer Solstice version transforms the classic into a hazy, juicy summer powerhouse while keeping the legendary attitude intact. This marks the second annual return of the summer edition.

A full Zombie Day celebration at Lone Tree Brewing’s original Lone Tree location is scheduled for later this fall.

About Lone Tree Brewing Company

Lone Tree Brewing Company opened its doors in 2011 as the first brewery in Lone Tree, Colorado, helping establish the South Metro Denver area as a destination for quality craft beer. Founded by a passionate team with deep local roots, the brewery quickly earned a loyal following for its bold, flavorful beers that refuse to compromise on taste or quality. From the beginning, Lone Tree focused on creating expressive ales and lagers, with flagship offerings like their cult-favorite Hop Zombie Imperial Red IPA becoming annual legends that draw fans from across the region. Over more than a decade, the brewery has grown while staying true to its community-focused ethos, expanding its footprint without losing the intimate, neighborhood feel that made it a staple.

Today, Lone Tree Brewing operates two popular tasting rooms: the original location near Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree and a second vibrant outpost in the heart of Parker, Colorado. Known for innovative seasonal releases like the tropical Summer Hop Zombie and a consistent lineup of award-worthy beers, the brewery continues to celebrate Colorado’s outdoor lifestyle and craft beer culture. With a strong emphasis on quality ingredients and creative brewing, Lone Tree remains a beloved independent craft brewery that brings friends together over great beer year after year. Whether you’re stopping by for a pint of Hop Zombie or discovering their latest seasonal, Lone Tree delivers the bold Colorado spirit in every glass.
