CUMMING, GA. (July 1, 2026) — NoFo Brew Co today announced that co-founder Joe Garcia will step down as CEO at the end of September 2026 after seven years leading the company. Co-founder Shannon Miles will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, guiding NoFo into its next phase of growth.
Founded in 2019 by Joe Garcia, Shannon Miles, and Bryan Miles, NoFo Brew Co was born from a shared passion for craft beer, spirits, and community. Named after North Forsyth County, the company has grown rapidly from a single local brewery into a multi-location operation with taprooms in Cumming, Gainesville, and Cleveland, Georgia. NoFo’s award-winning craft beers and spirits are now distributed across Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and internationally in the UK and Ireland.
A Foundational Leader’s Legacy
Joe Garcia played a pivotal role in building NoFo Brew Co from a “back-of-the-napkin” idea into one of Georgia’s fastest-growing craft beverage brands. His leadership helped shape the company’s culture, vision, and strong community focus.
“Joe’s impact on NoFo is immeasurable,” said incoming CEO Shannon Miles. “We are deeply grateful for his leadership, friendship, and dedication. While we will miss him in this role, we are excited for what lies ahead for him.”
Garcia added, “Building NoFo alongside this team and our community has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created and will be cheering everyone on as NoFo enters this next chapter.”
Shannon Miles Takes the Helm
Shannon Miles brings extensive entrepreneurial experience to her new role as CEO. She co-founded BELAY, a premium virtual staffing service, in 2010 with her husband Bryan during the Great Recession. Under their leadership, BELAY grew to over 2,000 team members and earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list for 10 consecutive years. The couple also co-founded O’nr, a platform supporting business owners.
As CEO, Miles will focus on sustainability, innovation, and preserving the welcoming “third place” culture that defines NoFo. “Our goal was never simply to build a brewery,” she shared. “It was to create spaces where people can gather, connect, celebrate, and feel at home.”
The leadership transition ensures continuity while positioning NoFo for continued growth, operational improvements, and new opportunities across its Georgia taprooms and expanding distribution footprint.
