About Urban South Brewery
Urban South Brewery was founded in 2016 in New Orleans by Jacob Landry and Kyle Huling, two LSU graduates with a shared passion for quality craft beer. The idea took root when Jacob, a Cajun from Southwest Louisiana, spent time in Europe during college and experienced traditional Belgian, English, and German beers firsthand. Disappointed by the mass-market lagers common in South Louisiana, he returned determined to bring better beer to the region. Partnering with Kyle Huling, who brought years of experience in craft beer distribution, the duo opened their production facility and taproom on Tchoupitoulas Street.
