Threes Brewing Releases Can-Conditioned Kellerbier

September 20, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

Threes Brewing

BROOKLYN, New York – Threes Brewing has just released Unmitigated, a Can-Conditioned Kellerbier. This relatively young, slightly hazy style of lager hails from the Franconian Region of Germany and is bright, fresh, and often unfiltered. Threes Brewing’s rendition is hopped with 100% German Hallertau Mittelfrüh Hops, providing herbal notes of sweet hay, wild berry, and meadow.

To delve deeper into technique, Threes can-conditioned Unmitigated with actively fermenting krausen from another lager. Adding krausen into the cans jump-started another cycle of fermentation, creating natural carbonation and slightly smaller, more effervescent bubbles. The resulting flavor is more yeast-forward and soft. Unmitigated was among the first in a series of can-conditioned offerings from Threes Brewing, which also includes a can-conditioned version of Table Beer Saison, a portfolio mainstay.

About Threes Brewing:

Threes Brewing is a Brooklyn-based brewery known for crafting approachable beers that balance simplicity and complexity, with a focus on lagers, hop-forward American ales and mixed culture beers. In addition to selling beer in over 150 bars, restaurants and shops across New York State, Threes Brewing runs a non-traditional tap room and event space in Gowanus, a sister bar and event space in Greenpoint, a seasonal outpost on Governors Island, in the New York Harbor, and a store with a tasting room in Huntington, Long Island.

BrewDog and Warner Bros. Consumer Products to Release Fellowship IPA inspired by The Lord of the Rings

September 12, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

BrewDog

Columbus, OH – BrewDog USA is joining forces with one of the most legendary sagas of all time, The Lord of the Rings, to release a limited-edition IPA to rule them all: BrewDog Fellowship IPA. In partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Fellowship IPA is the newest addition to the BrewDog lineup, joining crowd favorites like Elvis Juice, Hazy Jane, Punk IPA and Cold Beer as the perfect end-of-summer sip. Fellowship IPA is a 5% ABV hazy India Pale Ale that storms the gates with notes of stone fruit, pineapple and a touch of mango. Brewed with oats and wheat, and left unfiltered for a smooth, juicy hit, Fellowship IPA is subtly sweet with hints of melon and tropical flavors and balanced with a gentle hop character.

“At BrewDog, we’re HUGE fans of The Lord of the Rings– we actually lost count when asking how many people at the brewery had seen the films,” shares BrewDog head brewer Steve McMillen. “When the opportunity to partner with Warner Bros. Consumer Products came up, the team instantly started mapping out how we could make a beer worthy of Middle-earth. We wanted something balanced and juicy, and are confident that Fellowship IPA may just drive your tastebuds mad.”

Luckily, there’s no epic quest needed to find this beer. Fantasy and craft beer fans alike can find Fellowship IPA six-packs on shelves now using BrewDog’s Beer Finder. Fellowship IPA is also available at all neighborhood BrewDog bars and online at BrewDog.com/USA (MSRP: $12.99).

About BrewDog

Since 2007, BrewDog has been on a mission to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. From the Headliner series, which includes bold, uncompromising pack leaders like the flagship Punk IPA, to the Amplified range (beer, but turned up to 11), BrewDog brews beer that blows people’s minds and has kick-started a revolution.

BrewDog shook up the business world in 2010 with the launch of pioneering crowdfunding initiative Equity for Punks, an initiative that has seen the company raise £73m over six rounds, with their latest round open until April 2020.

The funds and the community of Equity Punk shareholders (180,000) has enabled the Scottish craft brewery to scale up without selling out. With over 102 bars across the globe, export into 60 countries, and a brewery in Ohio that launched in 2017, BrewDog continues to take the craft beer revolution stratospheric, while continuing to push the boundaries, invest in people, put the beer first, and champion other small breweries in its venues.

As well as becoming the first carbon negative brewery in the world in 2020, BrewDog is also a Certified B-Corp as of 2021. This is all part of our mission to become the world’s most sustainable drinks brand, showing that business can be a force for good.

About Motörhead

An English rock band formed in June 1975 by bassist, singer, and songwriter Ian Fraser “Lemmy” Kilmister, Motörhead quickly rose to great prominence in the British punk and heavy metal scenes. Although they changed their line-up several times, Motörhead never compromised or changed their unique, raging sound, which saw the band and their music become a lifestyle for many people from all genres, whether rockers, punks or alternative.

As a power trio, they had particular success in the early 1980s with several successful singles in the UK Top 40. The albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades and particularly No Sleep ‘till Hammersmith cemented Motörhead’s reputation as a top-tier rock band. The band is ranked number 26 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. Motörhead released 22 studio albums, 13 live recordings, 12 compilation albums, and four EPs over a career spanning 45 years. The Motörhead legacy (and lifestyle) lives strongly on through their music and loyal fans, with the band garnering a nomination for the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Johnny Rockets Offers 2 New Milkshake Porter Beers for National Milkshake Month

September 11, 2022 by Dustin Scoggins

Johnny Rockets

LOS ANGELES, California – Johnny Rockets, the timeless, all-American chain known for its decadent shakes, is getting crafty for National Milkshake Month. While fans can visit local Johnny Rockets’ locations throughout the month for a classic, hand-spun milkshake, the chain teamed up with fellow California-based brand, Santa Monica Brew Works, to release a Strawberry Milkshake Porter and a Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake Porter. The limited-batch beers will make their debut on September 12, National Chocolate Milkshake Day, at Santa Monica Brew Works’ Tasting Room/Beer Garden and Johnny Rockets – Universal City Walk and will be available through the month, while supplies last.

Creamy, dreamy, and delightfully decadent, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake Porter provides a sweet nutty taste with a silky-smooth finish, while the Strawberry Milkshake Porter has a ripe and juicy strawberry profile with Madagascar Vanilla added for a velvety sweetness. Beer and milkshake connoisseurs in the Los Angeles area are invited to the launch event on September 12th. From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., fans can purchase a flight of five-ounce tasters or 10-ounce pours of the two all-new Santa Monica Brew Works releases. The inspiration for the beers, Johnny Rockets’ Chocolate Peanut Butter and Strawberry Milkshakes, will also be available as an added free treat for the event. The milkshake beers will continue to be available on draft and in 19.2-ounce cans to-go at Santa Monica Brew Works, while supplies last.

“For National Milkshake Month this year, we wanted to spin up a fun way for our guests to celebrate our delicious shakes, with ice cream and beer,” said Taylor Fischer, Director of Marketing for FAT Brands’ Fast Casual Division. “Working hand-in-hand with Santa Monica Brew Works, the beer flavors are rich, creamy, and delicious, just like our shakes. We can’t wait to welcome fans out to our event, only 10 miles away from our first Johnny Rockets location, to sample both!”

“These imaginative milkshake porters embody the spirit of creativity that we value as craft brewers,” said Scott Francis, Santa Monica Brew Works, Co-Founder, President & CEO. “It’s a fun way to celebrate National Milkshake Month in classic, California craft brewery-style.”

Santa Monica Brew Works has collaborated with a series of other Los Angeles-based businesses including Johnny Rockets’ sister company Hot Dog on a Stick. Together, the Santa Monica originals teamed up to create the 310 Stomped Shandy, a bright blend of blonde ale and zesty lemonade. Quickly becoming a smashing success – Stomped Shandy can be found on grocery shelves at Trader Joe’s, Ralphs, BevMo, and more.
