CINCINNATI, Ohio – Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. and FC Cincinnati (FCC) have announced an expanded partnership today that delivers Moerlein Original Lager – a Vienna-style lager featuring German Nobel hops – in branded FCC 16 oz. cans to the market in addition to new promotions for Moerlein FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA at all home games in 2018.
“FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA has been a fan favorite since its launch in 2016,” said Jeff Berding, FCC President and GM. “We appreciate our partnership with Christian Moerlein Brewing Co., one of the leaders of the craft brewing movement, and are looking forward to introducing the newly branded Moerlein Original Lager to FCC fans.”
The FCC mark is prominently featured on the new 16 oz. can with the hashtag “#RISETOGETHER”, a nod to the fans, team and the beer that built Cincinnati. “This expanded partnership with FCC is an exciting opportunity for Christian Moerlein to share our Cincinnati German craft brewing traditions with today’s soccer fans throughout greater Cincinnati,” said Greg Hardman President and CEO of Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. “We are excited to offer a great lager option to the FCC Blood Orange IPA,” Hardman added.
To celebrate the expanded partnership, Christian Moerlein will feature both Original Lager and FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA 16 oz. cans to FCC Pub Partners and at participating retailers around Nippert Stadium in a promotion called “March to the Opening Match” where season schedules and other prizes will be given out to fans from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sat., Apr. 7 prior to the first home match.
FCC and Moerlein also announced an expanded presence during halftime of each home match. The “Do You Bleed Blood Orange Trivia Contest” will be brought to you by Christian Moerlein FC Cincinnati Blood Orange IPA. The interactive halftime trivia contest will be featured on the main video board and invite fans to test their knowledge of all things FC Cincinnati. A winner will be randomly selected and will receive a prize package courtesy of Christian Moerlein.
