Kettle sours, fruited beers, and adjunct stouts are a few of the reasons why Great Notion Brewing is leading the way in innovation. Producing cutting edge culinary inspired sours and stouts has put this craft brewery as one of the top trendsetters in the industry.
Every Saturday morning you can line up, along with a couple hundred other beer enthusiasts, to get your hands on the newest special brew can release from the brewery. The brewery usually releases anywhere from 2-4 beers in cans weekly, and once they are gone, you don’t know when you’ll see them again.
As the first brewery in the Northwest who dove head first into mastering the hazy IPA’s, these guys really know their stuff when it comes to unique brews, with amazing flavor. As if the demand for these beers wasn’t high enough, Great Notion doesn’t distribute their beer. “95% of our beer is distributed through our brewpubs,” says co-founder Paul Reiter, who is the businessman on the team.
With two thriving locations, the brewery invested this year in a third location in Beaverton, which is set to open in spring of 2020. This next location is going to be much smaller, and focused on providing tasty brews for the beer geeks out in the burbs.
Great Notion Brewing is staying relevant by listening to their customers, constantly experimenting with ingredients, and stepping outside of the box with beers like Boo Berry Muffin and Keep It Tasty.
If you haven’t stopped by one of their breweries yet, make sure you do. The fun atmosphere, great food, and delicious beers are waiting to impress. Don’t forget to try one of their flagship beers, the Double Stack, Ripe, JB, and Juice Jr.
