Stone Brewing Announces Lineup of Brewery and Taproom Exclusives

March 6, 2018 by Dow Scoggins

ESCONDIDO, California – Stone Brewing announces a 2018 lineup of packaged Exclusive Release Beers available only at Stone Brewing locations. These beers are intended only for Stone’s most dedicated fans making the pilgrimage to its tap rooms and company stores in Southern California and Richmond, VA.

Experimental beers and pilot batches are constantly rotating through Stone’s growler fill list and that won’t change. Instead, the team is adding to its in-store only offerings with packaged beers not found at retailers. Each beer exemplifies Stone’s commitment to innovation, bringing fresh styles to the mix and showcasing new bold flavors.

“We love our dedicated fans who visit us, growlers in hand, to fill up on the latest pilot beers and freshest new releases,” said Dominic Engels, Stone Brewing CEO. “With so much creativity now happening at each of our three breweries, we identified the opportunity to give something more to our fans, who we really believe deserve something special. These in-store releases will include some pilot batch fan favorites, one-off celebratory beers and first-look availability of our larger releases.”

Stone White Ghost Berliner Weisse – Brewed exclusively at Stone Berlin and imported to the US, this tartly refreshing, kettle-soured Berliner Weisse is available in 0.33l four-pack cans. Naturally, Stone upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the traditionally-brewed beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista.

Stone Liberty Station 5th Anniversary IPA – After five years of unique and experimental beers, Stone’s Liberty Station pilot brewery celebrates a milestone anniversary with a landmark beer. The tropical IPA is brewed with Spirulina – a natural algae-based superfood. The beer will release in 16oz four-pack cans the week of May 14.

Stone Mission Warehouse Sour – This year, Stone dove enthusiastically into the world of funk. The third in the series of quarterly releases launches with online presale via EventBrite in June.

Stone Notorious P.O.G. Berliner Weisse – An original recipe of Kris Ketcham, senior manager of brewing & innovation – Liberty Station, this Berliner Weisse with passion fruit, orange and guava makes its packaged debut after years of fans clamoring for its small-batch releases. Limited quantities will be available in 16oz four-pack cans beginning the week of July 2.

Stone First Look Beers – New this year, Stone will release select upcoming special release and seasonal beers for fans in a “First Look” format set to release approximately 60-90 days prior to the public release date. Limited amounts will be bottled or canned in preliminary packaging including the following:
