Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. Releasing Two New Year Round Beers and Packaging a Favorite Specialty for the First Time

February 22, 2018 by Dow Scoggins

WHO: Rahr & Sons Brewing Co.

WHAT: Rahr & Sons Brewing Co., North Texas’ Original Craft Brewery is releasing two new year-round beers that will be available in cans as well as on draft. Adios Pantalones and Paleta de Mango will launch in March 2018 and will be available throughout 2018. Rahr & Sons will also release a new limited, seasonal offering, Midnight Cab in April 2018.

Adios Pantalones will be a Cerveza de Sesión (session ale) brewed with lemon and lime. It comes in at 4.5% and is an easy drinking, approachable beer. It can be found in six packs of bright pink cans featuring the signature shield can décor of Rahr Core and Seasonal beers. Adios Pantalones will dawn citrus notes and aromas while providing a crisp and refreshing brew to enjoy with just about anything!

Paleta de Mango is sure to be a palate pleaser with juicy mango and lime paired with a twist of Mexican Pequin Chiles. At 5% this medium bodied beer is reminiscent of paletas de mango con-chile, a popular flavor of Mexican ice-pops. Rahr & Sons brewed the first batch of this beer with a brewer from CASA CERVECERA MORENOS in Mexico as a collaboration brew between the US and Mexico for the Cerveza Mexico trade show in Mexico City this past November. After the peak in interest by the public the decision was made to brew it again and make it a new fixture in the annual beer line up.

Rahr & Sons has brewed Midnight Cab in previous years, with limited availability it was found on tap during the Weekend and Mid-Week Tastings or at local bars and restaurants. This year the beer will be released in kegs for on premise consumption, and 4-packs of cans for both on and off premise drinking in all of Rahr & Sons’ 6 state footprint! This is a Black Saison aged for 6 months in French Oak Cabernet Barrels. This dark majestic brew offers hints of white pepper, black tea, and currants. Look for Midnight Cab on tap as well as in 4-pack cans beginning in April.

Rahr & Sons will host a large Cinco de Mayo event at the brewery on May 5, 2018, 12-4pm, including the World’s First Metal Mariachi Band, Metalachi. This event will be the official brewery launch of both Adios Pantelones and Paleta de Mango. For ticket information visit the Rahr & Sons Brewing Co. Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter; @Rahrbrewing.
